A native of Houston, TX, Dr. Sheila Ward Whiting is a walking miracle, whose life is a living testament of God’s supernatural powers. In June 1998, she graduated from Light Christian College
of Ministry and received a dual diploma in Light Bible Institute and Ministry Development Institute. In May 2002, she earned a Tabernacle Diploma. In November 2005, she received a Certificate of License - Gospel Ministry issued from Apostle I. V. Hilliard and Pastor Bridget Hilliard, founders. In June 2024, she was awarded an Honorary Doctorate Degree - Doctor of Philosophy in Humanities from Eagle’s Elite Christian University. She gives God the glory for her kingdom promotion!
Dr. Sheila is a celebrated author of “An Imperfect Vessel Chosen For God’s Glory” - There is Hope in this Imperfect World, that launched a greater assignment, Restorer of Hope Ministries (ROHM) -a non-profit organization that addresses the cares, concerns and needs of affected families, communities and individual persons both local and globally. Her vision: Restoring hope, resurrecting dreams/visions, and reactivating purpose for the glory of God; a platform where hope is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Inspired by a miracle in her life, she is also the Visionary Author of Seeing through God’s Eyes: Abiding in His Presence, with instructions to birth new authors (ROHM board-members); together they have penned an incredible kingdom project that is transforming the lives of it’s readers.
Dr. Sheila is a local and globally sought-after leader who is impacting the lives of many. Locally, she has adopted Capstone Healthcare Estate residents, extending the love of Jesus. She
organized a new era of ministry under ROHM, “Kingdom Minds for Christ” targeting youth & young adults; building kingdom minds for the work of Jesus. Globally, she serves in Uganda,
Pakistan, and Kenya. Inspired by God, she is co-founder of “Restorer of Hope Women’s Relief & Development Center”, providing job skills to free slave laborers.. She is the founder of “Restorer of Hope Primary School-Pakistan” offering education to underprivileged children who were denied an education. She is the overseer of Restorer of Hope Global Leaders Network, providing spiritual covering & mentorship to global pastors and “God’s Kingdom Builders International Legends”, an elite private group hand-picked by God who funds the international projects. They are sharing a kingdom legacy that will be passed down to their children and generations to come! Her work and testimony have been featured in International Women’s Magazine, Hoinser Book (Europe), Women of Dignity Magazine, Called2Inspirer Magazine, and Making Headline News (Dallas, TX).
Dr. Sheila is a proud 28-plus years faithful member of New Light Christian Center Church, where she serves under the leadership of Sr. Pastor, Dr. Irishea Hilliard. Lastly, she is a devoted wife to her loving husband, Curtis Whiting. Together, they are proud parents of six daughters & two sons, grandparents of thirteen grandchildren, and great grands of two baby boys.
